The Old Nick

The old nick – during a rare opportunity in March 2017 this lovely old building in Gainsborough opened its door to the public.  Currently it is a theatre, but previously an old police station.

Much of the building stands as it was before and has many features from it’s original purpose.  It’s such a pleasure to find such a treat on your doorstep.

Seeing the old cells standing their, all worn and marked from the previous occupants takes you back to simpler times.  Look through the photos and you can see what technology they had to help in their policing duties.

Conclusion

Do not hesitate to watch out for the next time it opens, it was a delight and great to capture the Old Nick at Gainsborough.
