Hi Andrew I listened to your latest podcast today, which I enjoyed. In your list of shout outs you mentioned that you’d been to Fez Photography. My ears popped out of my head! They are in my town, Cheltenham. I clean the windows of his next door neighbour! Next time you are in my neck of the woods, let me know.
Regards Jeremy
Why not say Film Forever? Using the term analog gives the prerogative to the digital heads. As if their view of the world, digital vs. non-digital (analog) is the only correct interpretation. When it most definitely is not. Film came first, we shouldn’t cede our rightful precedence. We are the older brother, not they.
Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your message on Instagram.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a retailer in the UK, therefore the only way to get our magazine at the moment over there is via our website.
Best wishes, analog magazine
It’s such a small world. Jeremy, I was brought up in Cheltenham and my Mum is still in Hester’s Way. I came to this site through a video Andrew posted on Google Maps, of Nocton Hall where I was born. The ‘Before’ photos remind me of Littlemore Asylum in Oxford as it transitioned to research laboratories and then housing.
Thanks for you interview with Lou Jones, Andrew. He’s been an inspiration and mentor to me and many others over the years.
It’s obvious that his work is at the very top of what’s out there. His technical and creative skills come through in virtually every type of photography—from portraits to sports to ads to reportage to documentation to the most deeply personal.
What your interview makes clear is that his personal story and career are as fascinating and informative as his photography.
I hope you’ll do the “2nd half” of the interview at some point in the (near) future.
You are most welcome, he was a fantastic guest and we’ve become friends
